The cable car was quite large, held over 60 people.

They carved a tunnel in the glacier in case you were crazy enough to go out there in the cold and wind to try and climb to the top.
Top of the Rock
These were the best views all morning (we were at the top for about 3 hours). We mostly hung out in the snack bar, it was sort of heated. (three pictures)

We are staying in Chamonix France, home of the 1924 winter Olympics. It’s a big ski location in winter, but in summer, you can go up the mountain in a cable car, and if the weather cooperates, see Mont Blanc. We did not succeed. We only gave ourselves one day to see Mont Blanc because you never know when you’ll get a good day. We could stay for a week and never see it. And we didn’t have a week. It’s supposed to be bad weather tomorrow too, so we don’t feel so bad.
