Went to the Mariners/Angels game. Sat in the 1st row of the club level, near home plate. Mariners won 5-0.
Some rain clouds moved in, and a couple drops of rain fell. It didn’t seem like much and there wasn’t any rain in the forecast. So I’m not sure why they closed the roof. Safeco Field has basically a big umbrella that rolls over the stadium. It’s still open air, the stadium has no windows and no air conditioning. Of all the MLB stadiums with a roof, Seattle’s is closed the least.
I didn’t plan it this way, but I went to two Mariners games this week. On Wednesday, my company went. They bought the nose-bleed seats in the outfield, but the weather was beautiful. You can see the Space Needle in the distance.
