The hockey season got off to a late start due to a lockout. We managed to get tickets to the first home game of the season for the Vancouver Canucks. As a way to apologize to fans for the long lockout, each fan got a free beer or soft drink, $1 hot dogs, $1 nachos, $1 popcorn. There was also a free team scarf on every seat in the arena. The team store had 50% off everything.
Unfortunately, the Canucks looked like they needed more practice. They lost 7-3. But it is still very exciting to see hockey live.
