This year they played the Calgary Flames. The Flames sent out their 4th line (the bruisers and thugs) to start the game, so Vancouver sent out its 4th line to match them. Normally, teams start their 1st line (the best players). The game started and everyone dropped their gloves. All ten skaters (everyone but the goalies) were beating each other up. 8 of the 10 players got kicked out of the game, all 10 got penalties. This was at the 2 second mark of the game. It took them 20 minutes to sort out the penalties and clean the blood off the ice. I&#8217;m not a fan of the fighting. That left both teams depleted, each team missing 4 players, so everyone seemed tired by the end of the game.<\/p>\n<p>The Canucks won 3-2 in a shoot-out.<\/p>\n<p>Denise with her Tim Hortons hot chocolate while walking Robson St. <a href=\"http:\/\/hovorka.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/d-tims.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3257\" src=\"http:\/\/hovorka.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/d-tims.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"576\" height=\"768\" \/><\/a>BC Place, across the street from our hotel. (Not the location of the hockey game, that&#8217;s Rogers Arena).
