We have about a half an hour until the restaurants open for dinner. They don’t open until 7 or 7:30pm. I think if I started a restaurant here with hours from 5-7pm I’d make a fortune. There were so many people milling about outside the restaurants last night waiting for them to open. Maybe I’m just a stupid American but if I owned a restaurant, and someone wanted to give me their money, I’d let them, even if it’s only 5:47pm.

Arles
In Arles, France. Walked around a bit. Watch your step. Dog droppings everywhere. I had a dinner of gardianne de taureau (bull stew) and Denise chickened out and had a salad.
Lyon to Arles
Train from Lyon to Arles just left, 1.5 hours late. Woman across aisle coughing and sniffling, I’m trying not to breathe.
On the way to Lyon
So the regional trains (2 at different times) were canceled due to construction. Yet the TGV just stopped at one of the stations that was under construction. Two of the platforms were closed, but it looked like a couple were still open (since we just stopped at one).
