Got a proper frisking leaving London this morning. Both of us. Flight uneventful, other than it being like a Turkish bazaar. They not only sold food, but stuff from the duty free shop, bus and tour tickets, and asked for donations for some charity. Got to Rome and picked up a SIM card for my phone. Not sure what I signed, I can’t read Italian, but the internet works. Walked a lot. Ate pizza. Ate gelato.
We got moved to a different hotel, I’m pretty sure the same people own both. It seems very nice so far.
Saturday morning we fly to Rome. Since the last Pope messed up our plans to see the Sistine Chapel (it’s closed for Conclave), I’ve decided to throw my hat into the ring and run for Pope. I hope to win the vote quickly so I can reopen all sights that are closed while we are still in Rome.
Last time I posted the before picture, this time I’ll show you the after picture. Eat your heart out Sandra.
