Last minute upgrade
Woo-hoo! We’ve been upgraded to Club World seats for the flight home. This means seats that lay flat into beds. This also means access to the British Airways lounge which has free food and drinks. We ate first not knowing this, but after looking at the food spread, it’s nothing special.
Final post from London
It’s been a great trip but we fly back home tomorrow. This will probably be the last post. You’ll have to check the website in a week or two to see the full web pages with more pictures. It was great spending time with Carrie in London. Italy had a bunch of interesting things to see, but I leave you with an image of a double decker bus driving into the sunset, sort of.
Kensington Palace
After tea we went to Kensington Palace. It was kind of odd. Some of the rooms had a haunted house feel to them. It was freezing today, as in 32F/0C.
Afternoon Tea
We took Carrie to an ‘afternoon tea’. None of us are fancy people so we looked at the waiters funny when they wanted to take our coats and when they put the napkins on our laps for us. You get little finger sandwiches and pastries with your tea. I don’t know the first thing about tea but I drank it anyway. This weekend was not about me. I’m sure the wait staff was in the back making fun of or cursing the stupid Americans.

Can’t take me nowhere. I swear the teapot was defective and leaked that big stain on the tablecloth.
