Walking along the north shore (Marina District), west of Fisherman’s Wharf. Looking south. There’s a bit of a hill in the distance.
This is the Palace of Fine Arts, built for the 1915 Panama-Pacific Exposition. It’s been rebuilt since then.
Walking in the Presidio we saw some really short palm trees
In the Presidio is the Walt Disney Family Museum. It tells the story of Walt’s life.
This is the oldest known drawing of Mickey Mouse, from 1928.
Walt started the merchandising very early.
Will we get a good picture of the Golden Gate Bridge during this trip, or will the fog mess up all of the pictures?
We took a bus from the Presidio to Golden Gate Park. The Golden Gate Bridge is connected to the Presidio, not Golden Gate Park. We had a lunch of lobster rolls from a food truck that Denise had found via one of those Food Network shows. Pricey, but worth it. Lobster on a bun, how could that be bad?
South of Golden Gate Park are the Moraga Steps. Some hills are so steep, there are stairs to climb the hill between blocks. The Moraga Steps have mosaic tiles. We did not climb the stairs.
