Seinfeld moment

On our way home from dinner, Denise and I got separated on the Tube. She made it on to the train (we were transferring) and the doors closed with me still on the platform. I imagined an episode of Seinfeld where we chased each other around the subway system for hours trying to reconnect. That didn’t happen. We meet up at our hotel’s stop. Not a very exciting story, since nothing went wrong, but we got a laugh out of it.

Pictures from today

Shakespeare’s Globe, not the original as it has burnt down at least 2 times, and not in the original location.

Winchester Palace ruins. Some new building uses it as a wall.

In Greenwich at the prime meridian. The vertical line on the wall behind us is the line dividing the east and west hemispheres.

Walking under the River Thames. Tunnel built in 1905.

A note about time

The timestamp on each post is showing up in Pacific time. So add 8 hours to get London time.

The US switches to daylight savings time March 10, while Europe and the UK don’t switch until March 31. So on March 10, add only 7 hours.

Italy is 9 hours ahead now, and will be 8 hours ahead next week.
