Today we went to the Grand Canyon. The Grand Canyon was the ‘must see’ item on our list and the reason we went on this trip, but turned out not to be as impressive as some of the other sites we saw. Maybe our expectations were too high. Maybe, because the canyon is so huge, it’s impossible to get some sense of how big it actually is when you are standing on its edge.
We arrived early and took the shuttle bus inside the park to various lookout points to the west of the visitor’s center. We walked between a few of the lookouts. Then we drove east, stopping at more lookout points before heading back to Flagstaff.
Dinner was at Diablo Burger. It was a really good burger, but the fries had some weird seasoning.
