Day 6 - Sep 8, 2016 Last updated: 9/13/16 9:00pm PT
Today was a buffer day. We did not know how long it would take to see the Grand Canyon. We knew we weren’t hiking down to the bottom. We figured if we needed more time, we would revisit the canyon today. Instead, we relaxed in the morning a little, then drove to Page, AZ. Along the way, we stopped at the Cameron Trading Post for some chili and some excellent Navajo fry bread. Pour a little honey on it and YUM!
The Navajo Bridge crosses the Colorado River. The original bridge was built in the 1920’s and still serves as a pedestrian bridge (on the left). The new bridge was built in 1995.
