Day 13 - Oct 30, 2017 Last updated: 11/26/17 4:00pm PT
We went to “Dunkin’ Coffee” for breakfast (‘Donuts’ is trademarked by another company in Spain, so they couldn’t use it). We had Nutella filled donuts, definitely not as good as the churros with Nutella in Barcelona.
Took the train to Córdoba. Walked through town to the Mezquita. It is a giant mosque that has a church inside of it. It was originally a Christian church, then a Muslim mosque, then a church again. The religious overlap inside is odd to see, but given the history of the changing occupiers of this country, it’s not really a surprise.
We also saw the Roman bridge, originally built in the early 1st century BC. It has obviously been maintained over the years. We also went to the museum of Andalus life.
We went to Yummy Gelato for the final time, as we leave for Lisbon tomorrow.
