New England 2014

Day 7 - Sep 5, 2014

Left Montreal, Quebec this morning and drove straight to Quebec, Quebec. A city so nice they named it twice – oh wait, that’s New York. A little outside of downtown Quebec City is Montmorency Falls. These falls are ‘higher than Niagara Falls’, but if they were more spectacular than Niagara, then Niagara would be saying ‘wider than Montmorency’. You can rock climb up the face of the cliff and in winter you can ice climb the falls when they are frozen.

The iconic building of Old Quebec is the Fairmont Le Château Frontenac, a UNESCO World Heritage Site on the St. Lawrence River.

Dinner was at Restaurant Aux Anciens Canadiens, where we had maple syrup pie for dessert.
