The next three nights we stayed in the suburbs of Baltimore and used it as a base to visit Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia.
We took a look at the George Peabody Library at Johns Hopkins University. Old-timey and impressive. You can’t go upstairs.
Fort McHenry is where, during the War of 1812, Francis Scott Key was inspired to write the Star Spangled Banner.
The Francis Scott Key Bridge collapsed in 2024 after a container ship hit it.
